About Our Logo

What’s up with your logo? What no animals?

“Why a boomerang?” “Why a neon sign?” Well, when Dr. Greek was developing the concept of his practice, he wanted to create something fun, inviting, nostalgic, and memorable. So often, medical practices seem like cold, sterile environments, and he definitely did not want that. So, when he chose to embrace the Mid-Century Modern theme with his architect and designer, it was decided that the theme needed to be carried out through the logo as well.

The Person Behind the Logo

Tom’s wife, Desiree “Dez”, is a graphic designer by trade, and when he asked her to help with the logo design, she knew right away what it should look and feel like.

Dez is a partner at DSYL Advertising. She graduated with a BA in Advertising from California State University, Fullerton. Dez is known for her branding, and you can often see some of her work while driving throughout Orange County and the surrounding areas.

Have you ever seen the now-famous photo of the “Rat Pack” standing in front of the Sands Hotel in Vegas? Well, you guessed it, she modeled the look and feel of the Greek and Associates logo after that infamous sign. Can you see the influence?

As for creating it in neon? Well, that was just because it’s fun!

We hope you love our logo and the nostalgia it conveys. We sure do.
