Holly Richards, DVM

Dr. Holly Richards grew up in rural Michigan and then lived in Chicago for over 20 years. While in Illinois, she earned degrees from Loyola, Northwestern and University of Illinois. Her first career was at Brookfield Zoo where she was a zoo keeper and trainer taking care of a huge variety of animals including bats, wombats, rhinos, aardwolves, polar bears, giant prickly stick insects, newts, vultures and many others. Her zoo background influenced her veterinary interests and for her first 10 years as a very she has been focusing on exotics at clinics in Chicagoland and in Pasadena, CA. She loves helping owners with the specialized care and feeding needed with many non-traditional pets like birds, reptiles, rabbits, rodents and others. She attended Chi University for veterinary acupuncture and recently spent a year as a relief vet seeing everything including dogs and cats in North and South Carolina. Dr. Richards is thrilled to be part of the team at Greek and Associates where her strengths in surgery and imaging can be utilized. In her free time she continues to gravitate towards animals, volunteering with Singer Sanctuary in Sunland, traveling with World Vets, consulting at wildlife centers and visiting schools with her unusually friendly Muscovy duck named Goose.
